"Journal of Language Research" (ZABANPAZHUHI) has been separated from the Journal of Humanities and granted the status of "Academic-Research" on 2009 (1388 solar) by Ministry of Science, Research and Technology.

"Journal of Language Research" (ZABANPAZHUHI), is an open access double-blind peer-reviewed quarterly journal published by Alzahra University in Iran. "Journal of Language Research" has appeared continuously since 2010 The journal is published quarterly, with one English issue per year.

"Language Research" publishes original research in English and Persian (Farsi) from all linguistic disciplines, whether data-driven or theoretical. This journal also welcomes review papers (especially systematic reviews) within the journal's scope.

This journal is open to submissions in language-related fields including not only general linguistics (i.e., syntax, morphology, phonology, and semantics) but also inter-disciplinary areas (such as sociolinguistics, historical linguistics, psycholinguistics, neurolinguistics, forensic linguistics, applied linguistics, etc.).

"Journal of Language Research" focuses on Persian and other linguistic varieties spoken in Iran, but quality papers on other languages are also accepted.

We do not prefer linguistic theories or scientific trends; papers are selected for publication only based on their scientific value, academic soundness, and innovative contributions to the field.

This journal has signed a Memorandum of Collaboration with the Linguistics Society of Iran (LSI) and the Iranian Association of French Language and Literature to publish research articles in language-related fields.

 The major aim of this Journal is to provide opportunities to share our academic experiences in the form of written scholarly articles, in major areas of language studies including interdisciplinary fields investigated by experts in the mentioned fields. This will give us a chance to exchange our ideas for more intellectual negotiation and interaction among researchers. This journal is published quarterly and the following points are worth considering:

- The articles submitted to the journal must be written only in Persian.  

- Author/s are responsible for the content of their articles.

  • The Editorial Board reserves the right to accept or reject articles, to make all editorial changes as deemed necessary, and to arrange articles in the order which finds appropriate.

  • The Journal follows COPE guidelines.

    The cost of submitting an article: 2500000 Rials, which is received after approval of the article for submission to arbitration.

    The cost of printing a paper: 5500000 Rials, which will be issued after the acceptance of the article.

    The ratio of the accepted papers to those submitted: 21%
